Take the Challenge

We invite those of you who have never fully tithed to give God the first of your income in each paycheck for 90 days and “test” God’s promises in Malachi 3:10 and Matthew 6:32-33.

“No one can serve two masters. Either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and Money. . . your heavenly Father knows [what you need]. But seek first His Kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.”
Matthew 6:24, 32-33

“’Test Me in this [take a great step of faith],’ says the Lord Almighty, “and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that you will not have room enough for it. I will prevent pests from devouring your crops . . .”
Malachi 3:10-11

As you take this great step of faith, we know that the Scripture calls us to love one another, pray for one another, and serve one another. So, if this your first time tithing, please let us know by submitting your contact information and our pastors and board will commit to:

1. pray for you weekly during this time you learn to walk by faith in a greater way
2. provide you with a weekly encouragement and financial management resource
3. provide a way for you to keep us updated so we can support any needs you have

We want you to know that you will not be alone as you take this step of faith and we will be there to encourage, counsel and serve you and your family.

Jesus invites us to follow the ways of the Kingdom of God in all areas of life. In Matthew 6:24 Jesus specifically says that money is often the “god” we choose over instead of God Himself.

Tithing is God’s way of handling the power and temptation of money as we live in this world (Malachi 4:9-10). When we tithe, we return the first of our income back to God to live out the truth that He is first. God allows the first to represent the rest. So when we give our first to Him we, like the widow in Mark 12:44, we are giving everything to Him.

In Mark 1:14-17, Jesus declares, “ “The kingdom of God is near. Repent and believe the good news . . . Come, follow me”. May these 90 days draw you closer to Jesus than ever before.
